WHAT WE DO

Integrating faith, service, and education as essential parts of every intervention, walking alongside the community in its holistic development.

How We Do
Our Work?

El Camino medical brigades provide primary, dental, and eye care to the people of Santa Ana and the surrounding area, supporting and enhancing the work of the permanent clinic and medical staff.

These groups also design and implement public health education and research projects to improve health and self-sufficiency at the community level and increase the impact of clinical interventions.

Brigades provide much needed healthcare to the under-served our communities, while offering life-changing experiences to medical, dental, optometry, and other health sciences students. Through these brigades.

We are committed to spiritual development as a central part of our holistic approach. Our ministry focuses on:

● Spreading the Gospel through outreach programs, devotionals, Bible studies, and discipleship activities.

● Youth and children's ministry, integrating biblical values into everyday life.

● Providing spiritual counseling and support for individuals and families facing challenges.

Our evangelism is rooted in love and service, aiming to reflect Christ’s compassion in all areas of our work.

Health
Program

Our Health programs focus on improving the quality of life in Santa Ana, Intibucá, Honduras, and El Salvador. We collaborate with local leaders to address the unique needs of each community, fostering long-term growth and resilience.

We provide comprehensive and compassionate medical services through Clinica El Camino, including:

● General medicine for diagnosing and treating common, chronic illnesses and surgeries.

● Clinical laboratory services, including glucose testing, hemograms, urinalysis, and pregnancy tests.

● Dental care such as cleanings, fluoride application, extractions, and dental prosthetics to restore health and confidence.

● A well-equipped pharmacy offering original and highly effective medications for various conditions (e.g., antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, and treatments for chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes, and asthma).

In addition, we emphasize high-quality treatment plans and ongoing follow-up care to ensure that patients not only receive timely attention but also experience continuous improvement in their health. Our medical staff builds relationships with patients, guiding them through every step of their healing process with empathy, professionalism, and faith-driven service.

Our Health Program is committed to improving the quality of life in Santa Ana, Honduras, and beyond. For over 14 years, we have worked hand in hand with local leaders and faith-based partners to serve rural, indigenous, and migrant communities, especially in regions marked by abandonment and extreme poverty.

Our clinic is located in Santa Ana, Colomoncagua, Intibucá, a remote border area often referred to as a "no man's land"—neglected by both El Salvador and Honduras. Due to its geographic and political isolation, the community lacks consistent governmental support and
remains one of the most underserved in the country.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), over 30% of rural households in Honduras experience moderate to severe food insecurity, with Intibucá among the most affected areas.

Education

Education is a cornerstone of our mission. We invest in educational programs, school infrastructure, and teacher training to ensure that children have access to quality education. By nurturing a culture of learning, we aim to unlock the potential of future generations.

English Classes & Skill Development

We offer English classes in well-equipped classrooms located within the clinic's facilities, using modern tools to stimulate children's development and creativity. These classes focus on building communication skills, confidence, and future job opportunities.

Children are provided with the appropriate learning materials—including textbooks, notebooks, writing tools, and interactive resources—so they can fully engage in the learning process. Additionally, we partner with local schools to strengthen their academic programs and provide them with educational resources that enrich the learning environment and support student success.

Community
Development

We provide training, workshops, and mentoring to equip women with practical skills and business knowledge, enabling them to gain economic independence while ensuring their families' well-being.

Beyond physical and economic support, we foster spiritual growth and emotional healing. Through devotionals, prayer groups, faith-based counseling, and interactive workshops, we help women discover their identity and purpose in Christ, empowering them to face challenges with renewed strength and hope.

Our mission is to walk alongside them in Spirit, soul, and mind, promoting a life of dignity, resilience, and deep connection with God. These spaces of learning and spiritual support allow women to grow both personally and professionally while building strong, faith-filled families and communities.
